Food Shed Coop Groundbreaking Ceremony

The official groundbreaking ceremony for McHenry County Food Cooperative, DBA Food Shed Co-op, is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, July 18th, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm at 10806 US-14, Woodstock, IL 60098. 

With some of the co-op’s 1700+ founding owners having invested as far back as 2014, groundbreaking for the store has been long anticipated. A ceremony is being planned for this milestone that will include comments from Mike Turner, Mayor of the City of Woodstock, Clint Gabbard, President of McHenry County College, as well as Scott Brix, Vice President of the co-op’s Board of Directors. Other McHenry County and city officials will be on hand to witness the start of the store’s building project. 

Food Shed Co-op invites its owners, members of the public and the press for the launch of their community-owned grocery store.
