Meet Brad Snyder
While serving in Afghanistan in 2011, Brad Snyder was permanently blinded after stepping on an improvised explosive device (IED). The explosion took his eyesight, but not his tenacity and fierce competitive spirt. He used this setback to springboard to his next achievement, winning his first Gold Medal on September 7, 2012, the one-year anniversary of his injury, and going on to become a five-time Gold Medalist and two-time Silver Medalist at the London and Rio Paralympic Games.
The Sage YMCA is incredibly proud to host Brad and bring his inspirational and encouraging story to you, right here in McHenry County. Please join us for this truly special event.
