The first professional company dedicated to the tradition of stepping and one of the top 10 African American dance companies in the United States! Based on the sights, sounds, and movements of downtown Chicago, this work is dedicated to finding rhythms in everyday situations. Step Afrika’s programs introduce young people of all backgrounds to the art form of stepping, an exciting contemporary American dance genre.
