I’m Douglas Katz, a West Point graduate, disabled Army veteran, and entrepreneur focused on inclusive innovation. As founder of NULU, I developed the patent-pending NULU™ knife, built on Force Transfer Geometry™ to make cooking safer and easier for people with arthritis, mobility challenges, and commercial kitchen staff alike. My work emphasizes adaptive design as universal design—creating tools that reduce strain, prevent injury, and restore independence. Beyond NULU, I write and speak on the Ability Curve Model, which reframes how we evaluate ability across life stages. I’m committed to building solutions that empower people of all ages and abilities to live with confidence and autonomy.
